Headed east along the waterfront for 5km and then headed back again. This was strangely familiar as it is the majority of the course of the Auckland Quarter.
Quite a few runners along here even at 7:30 in the morning. I can see why - it is very scenic.
10.4km / 46:55 / 4:31min/km
Pretty much dead flat aside from a small hill to/from the office @ the ANZ tower building to the waterfront.

This little there and back also forms part of the second half of the Auckland Marathon so it was a useful re-con as well.
Calves a little tight so some stretching before work. A great start to the day.
This weekend I plan to do a slower run just to mix things up. Friday is a rest day.

You're in my building!
That's a great route.
Keep an eye on those calves. Pesky things!
Ah, you Aucklanders. You want "scenic", try the WELLINGTON waterfront! I don't call a red fence and giant containers "scenery" just because of the 200m of coast at the end ;)
Small world! Although it is a pretty big building :)
I'm sure the route was at least 250m of coast. Further out is better (e.g. ADRA half marathon route) also the viaduct harbour and marina.
Wellington waterfront is nice I agree but haven't had the chance to go running there. The wind must be interesting? Most scenic place I've run was in Hong Kong and that was brilliant if a bit too steep.
You seem to have access to so many beatiful runs over there. I can see I'm going to have to get over there one day just to go for a run with you and the other Andrew!
Watch those calves - have you considered compression socks ? I've been thinking of getting a pair except they look so dorky!
